Planning Applications

WEEKLY LIST NO 33 - 09/08/2010 - 13/08/2010

The attached list gives details of planning applications received and registered by the Borough of Poole during the week shown above.

Any application may be inspected at: Planning & Regeneration Services, Civic Centre, Poole between 8:30am and 5:15pm Mondays to Thursdays and between 8:30am and 4:45pm on Fridays at least until a period of 21 days has elapsed from the date of registration.

If you have any comments to make on any application, these should be sent in writing to me within this 21-day period to guarantee that they are considered or you can use the internet at http://www.boroughofpoole.com/planning and 'click-on' planning applications on-line and enter our reference number quoted above. Please note that the law requires that any letters commenting on a planning application become public documents. This means that such letters may be seen by members of the public and the applicant and will be available for viewing on the Council's official web site. Letters will not be acknowledged.

The decision to grant or refuse permission will be made by me and my most senior staff unless:

  1. A Councillor makes a written request for the application to be considered by the Planning Committee;
  2. The Planning Officer dealing with the application decides that it should be considered by the Planning Committee (eg because of its controversial nature or widespread public interest);
  3. The application would represent a departure from the policy of the Statutory Development Plan; or
  4. The applicant is a Councillor or a council employee directly involved in the handling of applications.

In these circumstances, the report is put before a committee made up of elected Borough Councillors (the Planning Committee). Its meetings are open to members of the public to attend. Those applications on the attached list which will be put before the Planning Committee have the word "Committee" shown in the bottom right hand corner of the relevant box. Applications which are not so marked may be put to the committee if it later becomes apparent that any of the points 1 - 4 above apply.
